About Us
W3 Electric Inc., began as a sole proprietorship owned by Robert M. Wilson Jr. With his diligent guidance the company has grown from one man and a truck operating out of his garage to a multi-division corporation. Rob has over 25 years experience in the electrical industry. Rob is now responsible for the overall operation of the company and manages the Residential Division.
Some of his qualifications are:
- Unlimited Electrical License in North Carolina.
- EC license in Florida.
- Former Town of Cary Electrical Inspector.
- Former Instructor for Electrical Installation and Maintenance at Wake Technical Community College.
- Past President of the North Carolina Association Of Electrical Contractors.
In 2007 with the incorporation of W3 Incorporated Rob decided that it was best for the company to bring in long-time friend and Mentor, Eugene L. Wigley as a partner. Eugene has over 33 years of experience in the electrical industry. His experience ranges from nuclear power plant builds to residential service. Eugene is without question one of the most knowledgeable individuals in the industry today. Eugene manages the Commercial/Industrial Division.
Some of his qualifications are:
- Unlimited Electrical License in North Carolina.
- Former Town of Cary Electrical Inspector.
- Former Instructor for Electrical Installation and Maintenance at Wake Technical Community College.
When the company incorporated Rob also decided to make Wesley F. Wilson a partner. Wesley had been the Director of Field Operations for the company. Wesley has over 22 years of experience in the industry and now manages the Wireless Division.

- Licensed Electrician in North Carolina.
- Former Raleigh Electrical inspector.
- Former Instructor for Electrical Installation and Maintenance at Wake Technical Community College
